Limited Educational Value, Lots of Fun November 28, 2008

We purchased Balloon Lagoon for our then five year old daugter. At almost seven, she still likes to play the game. The majority of the game skills are chance with a small amount of strategy, so there is really little educational value to it. However, it is a lot of fun and we enjoy playing with her.

This game is fun & challenging enough for the whole family. My son received it at the age of 5 & still loves to play it at the age of 7. Our 10 yr. also enjoys the game. I think the frogs are impossible but that proves to be the one area the 3 males in my family thrive at. All parts are very durable & will last even with abuse. I feel this game can even be for someone as young as [...].

My kids received this from Santa last year. We have actually played with it several times. My now six year old has done really well it. My two year old plays along the best she can. The only complaint would be the box. It's not set up really well for storage. My youngest get a hold of it and the balloon things were all over the house so you have to work a bit at keeping it together. They do include some bags, which we've used. I'll probably just put it all in my own see-through plastic container for storage.

My son received this for a 5 year old birthday party gift and loves it. Actually my 3 1/2 year old son probably plays with it more, so it definitely works for the 3-6 year age range. The games moves quickly amongst the 4 activities provided so the kids don't get bored with a long wait. The game is durable and holds up well. My kids love to play with it at least once/wk and it is fun for something different from your usual board games.

This game is so much fun that our 3 year old granddaughter wanted to bring it home to her house to keep. But nope, she has lots of games at her house, and it will be something else for her to look forward to coming to ours. Highly recommended.
